Read First Before Buy T fal ZE5813US Extractor Stainless Dishwasher
I have only started juicing about a week ago and this is my first juicer. I don't have any experience with any other juicers to compare this one to, but I love this one! I read many reviews on other juicers and decided to take a chance with this one. It is pretty easy to assemble. It's a little more difficult taking it apart because it's always a trick to get the grater part out. You have to flip the spout on the front of it up and then lift the whole piece out with the grater still in it. It takes a little effort to get it out sometimes, but that is really the only complaint I have with it. It's pretty easy to wash, takes me maybe 5 minutes to hand wash everything. Again the grater is the pain, but using the little brush that comes with it makes it a lot easier.
I love that the pitcher that the juice goes into has a little plastic piece to hold back the foam. I'm not sure if other juicers have that, but I love that this one does! Also I had read about other juicers leaving a lot of juice in the waste bucket, this one does not. Most of the items are pretty dry when it's done juicing them. It does struggle a little with leafy greens. I have found half a leaf of spinach or baby kale in the waste bucket, but only a few. It gets most of them. Also, I chop my apples into quarters since a whole or even half apple does not fit, but I think my apples might be a little big.
Not ever having a juicer before, I was expecting it to be a lot louder than it is. It's still loud, but it's not that bad in my opinion. So overall I love this juicer! I am happy with my purchase and I love trying different juice recipes!

I've used this juicer a few times a week for about 4 months. It makes a lot of juice for a centripetal type. It's pretty easy to clean, except for the spout, which requires you to stick your finger or a toothbrush in there. It says not to put the spout in the dishwasher but I do, and it comes out fine. The rest of it is fully dishwater safe.
BalasHapusMy favorite feature is the wide mouth, which allows me to put whole apples directly into the juicer. Very convenient. Good price at $70.
Comparing this T-fal to the Breville we used for the last two years: The T-fal is one third the cost, works as good, has a better design, about half the motor wattage but no difference in performance, overall build is just as good, nicer juice pitcher with a lid so you can keep it in the fridge for later use. A very clean juicer to use (No beet juice sprayed all over the counter) T-fal has a low and high speed, low speed works best for soft items (grapes, kiwi, etc.) We had several juicers in the last forty + years, If they don't break down they will wear out , The cutter will get dull and the sieve will get clogged no matter how good you take care of these items, Replacement parts are not available or cost too much. Then when every thing looks good ( The motor will burn out) This will happen about five minutes after the warranty expired. Amazon's price cant be beat, After using this juicer we ordered two more, The cost of the three T-fal juicers was less than we were going to pay for one new Breville, If I can get a year out of one of one of these T-fal I will be a happy camper. They work as good or better than any of the juicers we had in the past, at this price I will not be concerned about repairs or replacement.
BalasHapusI began a juicing regime with a juicer that had seen better days~it was quite old is what I'm saying. :) I bought this juicer and I have to say I am extremely pleased with it!! Prior I was cutting and chopping and prepping the crap out of my ingredients. Now there is no more coring apples~ I was extremely excited to see a whole apple obliterated by this beast!! The foam separator is a gift from god for anyone that struggled with the very veggie juices or textures! Love the ease of cleanup ....and to address another post~ to remove the wire basket you simply turn the basket approx a quarter then lift up...it's quite simple. :) love the convenience, the price and the juicer in general!!! Very glad I made this purchase. :)

BalasHapusHow to remove the sieve, Part D
I am an avid juicer and I have been using a Breville Juice Fountain Elite for the past 3 years. This juicer actually has many of the features of the Juice Fountain Elite and works just about as well.
BalasHapusThe T-fal Balanced Living juice extractor is easy to assemble and take apart. The plastic parts are dishwasher safe and the stainless steel filter comes with a cleaning brush. If you do put the plastic parts in the dishwasher I would suggest turning off the heat dry, just in case; and hand washing the filter basket with the cleaning brush. The feed tube is extra wide and can fit whole pears and apples, although I would suggest coring the apples because the seeds can contain trace elements of cyanide.
I made apple ginger juice this morning and it turned out perfect. I use the lower speed for most items because slower juicing seems to yield a bit more juice, so I usually let the items feed through the tube instead of forcing them with the pusher. Because my Breville is about 3 years old and has had heavy use, the nice new sharp filter basket of the T-fal juicer actually was faster.
With most juicers getting the juice basket out of the juicer for cleaning can be a bit of an effort. I noticed that the cleaning brush has a flat handle that looks like it is designed to pop out the juice filter basket, after use. The only problem was that the juice filter basket was lodged in pretty good, and I didn't want to bend the handle. I used a screwdriver and easily popped the filter basket out of the juicer.
I also put this juicer through the paces with a spicy green vegetable juice; with kale, cilantro, carrot, celery, cucumber, parsnip, apple, lemon, lime, ginger, garlic, and onion. It handled everything fine even the hard kale stems. The juice wasn't pulpy and the yield was over 32 ounces. I did try pulling the spout upwards to remove the filter basket, but popping it up with a large screwdriver seemed to be what worked best for me.
This juicer is noisy, but not any louder than any other centrifugal juicer. The juice pitcher is a bit of an ingenious design, with the defrother built into the pitcher, and the lid permanently attached. You can tell that the folks who designed this juicer tried to take the features of the best juicers available, and even tried to improve them a bit.
Juicing is a great way to get vitamins and enzymes straight to your system and save your body the effort of digestion. This is an affordable juicer with great features and a great juicer for people who are new to juicing or for juicing regulars who need a replacement juicer. I was impressed with the design and the price.
Pros:
BalasHapus-Large capacity. Enough for a family or a full day's juicing needs.
-Powerful motor makes short work of beets, stems, etc
-VERY sturdy mesh disc - much stronger and stiffer than what I have seen in other models
-Quick clean-up. No special tools required and design makes emptying shredded vegetable matter clean and quick
Cons:
-Pitcher seems to drip more than our other juicer
-Instructions suck - I spent 5 minutes trying to figure out how to remove the wire disc. It was annoying at the time, though I am past it now.
We have been using a Breville BJE200XL Compact Juice Fountain 700-Watt Juice Extractor. It's great but I found it too small sometimes for the amount of juice we want to make for long bike rides or when we have company. It also struggles sometimes with beets and other tough vegetables. Its design also make it a little messy to clean up.
We have been using the T-fal ZE813US for 3 days now and I am mostly happy with it and will be giving our Breville away. My one moment of annoyance occurred when washing it the first time. I was unable to pull the wire spinner disc off. I was looking for a lever, special tools, etc but could find nothing. It turns out that you have to lift the adjustable spout a little to lift the green plastic collector off, which then allows you to remove the disc. You will find NOTHING about this in the instructions. Dumb.
Once I figured that out my experience with this juicer has been great. It makes short work of even the toughest vegetables I have tried. Strangely this 500-watt juicer makes its way through vegetables even better than the 750-watt Breville. Perhaps it is the VERY sturdy metal juicer disc. It is very stiff and thicker than what came with the Breville. In fact, the Breville, though more expensive, seems to me made with lower quality components.
The large pitcher and fiber collection bin makes it possible to juice large quantities. Cleanup is quick and easy. I was especially happy to see how easy it was to clean the metal disc. In a side-by-side test, it produced the same amount of juice as our Breville, with no difference in taste.
I would highly recommend this product. It's powerful, less expensive than many competitors, and built sturdily.
This is an excellent product. Easy to clean. Looks and works perfectly. If your on a budget and looking for a good juicer, I would definetly recommend buying this product.
