Best Review on Breville RM BJE510XL Certified Remanufactured Variable Speed
This is my first time with a Juicer, and let me say this one is a pleasure to work with. Cleanup is very easy and quick (just a couple minutes, tops). It assembles and disassembles quickly and juices very fast.
I love the adjustable speed knob in the front of the unit. This allows me to juice softer vegetables and greens.
I find that I can clean it with just hot water for most of the week, then on the weekend clean it with soap and water. This makes it convenient to use during the week.
Overall this juicer is a great value and I would purchase the same one again.

3/20/2013: I'm now selling the juicer at our next garage sale. It still works great, although all the plastic looks like it has a dingy film over it. It just seems now that more pulp is coming out than juice. And to me that just feels like too much waste. It's still a great juicer for the money.
We recently decided to buy a Juicer. After doing some research, I knew I wanted a Breville and I knew I wanted variable speed.
BalasHapusSlower speeds work better for softer fruits/vegetables and the faster speeds work best for harder stuff like Carrots.
I decided on the 510XL and thought I would take a chance on this Certified Remanufactured unit to save some money. Not really sure what part of mine is remanufactured, but it looks brand new and operates perfectly.
Only downside is that it only comes with a 3-month warranty, but for the cost savings, I'll take a chance.
One other tip. To minimize clean-up, we line the Pulp bucket with the little produce bags you get at the grocery store when you buy fruits/vegetables. I asked the store manager if I could buy a roll of them, he sold me a whole roll of produce bags for 6-bucks. I think there's about a zillion bags on a roll, this is a much cheaper option than buying little kitchen bag liners.
So far, very happy with this juicer and the 70 bucks I saved by buying a remanufactured unit.
I just got the machine today. I picked the brand because all of my favorite juice bars were using it. Now I see why. This machine is great.(and this isn't even the top of the line model) I love the adjustable speed, the large feeder, the pitcher is great, it even separates the froth for you! Not to mention, this thing was a breeze to clean. I had a Juiceman a while back, and I had to literally pull out a screwdriver to take it apart. Not so with the Breville. Super easy to clean and operate and it looks good to boot. I am super happy with my purchase.
BalasHapusAfter much research my husband finally decided on the Breveille RM Juicer, and we love it. There are a few pieces to clean, but we have gotten in the swing of things and make one large pitcher every time we juice, it lasts us about 2 days and there is less daily cleaning. Healthy choice for us and our family!

BalasHapusThat being said and out of the way I'm happy to report that I am thrilled with by REMANUFACTURED purchase.
It arrived in a large sturdy box sealed from Breville. All of the clear plastic components were new and I'm pretty sure the cutting disk was new as well. I have been using it twice a day for 2 weeks now and it has performed flawlessly. I would not hesitate in buying any remanufactured product from Breville. Breville's quality is so superior to any other kitchen appliance I own that I now want to replace all of them with Breville (remanufactured) products.
Customer Service: One of the plastic components was chipped upon arrival. Luckily it didn't affect the functionality of my juicer and was able to get to juicing right away. I called Breville in California (Not India)to get a replacement. The operator was courteous and professional. I just emailed them my Amazon receipt and the sent me a new piece free of charge. I received it in about a week. Would likely arrive in a shorter amount of time for others but California to Miami, FL is a long ways away for ground service shipping.
GREENS: It difficult for me to find reviews about people using this juicer for juicing greens like spinach and kale. I was debating buying a masticating juicer but am very happy I went with this one. I get about 3 fl oz of juice from a 9 oz bag of spinach. That is much better than I had anticipated and therefore I give this juicer a big thumbs up for juicing greens.
WARRANTY: Forget the nearly worthless 90 day warranty and buy a 2 year extended warranty through Amazon for $15. That way you have a juicer with a warranty better than a new juicer's warranty at a significant savings.
OK... If you're like me you've read dozens of reviews on this juicer and a few others. Just buy this one and you'll be thrilled with your purchase (and savings).
This is my first Juicer. I am BEYOND thrilled with it...FAST/POWERFUL/SLEEK!! I get a great amount of juice out of everything. The sound it makes it not any louder then my top line blender,,Id give it a low 5 on a scale of 1-5 on loudness.Clean up is simple, I put a bag in the refuse area and then remove that when done (I use pulp mash which is left over in recipes) and then simply wash and rinse the two other parts (brush works amazing on the filter) approx a minute in clean up!!! I HIGHLY SUGGESTED IT
BalasHapusThis juicer was a gift and so far, I am thrilled! The machine is much quieter than I expected and I like being able to adjust the speed according to what you are juicing. Seems to extract a good amount of juice.
BalasHapusI took the advice I saw in another comment and reused the bag my produce came in to catch the pulp. I immediately put it in the freezer and will use it to make vegetable broth.
Clean up is relatively easy if you clean it right away, just rinse all the plastic pieces with hot water and air dry. The screen takes a little more effort, you will definitely need to use the scrub brush that comes with it.

I have nothing bad to say at all. This thing is remarkable. Literally every bit of the pulp left over is dry and cleaning up afterwards is so easy. (Assuming you line the bin with a bag first). I had been wanting one for the longest time and I have zero regrets about buying it. Even though mine was "refurbished", is seems to me that it is brand new.
BalasHapusThis is a great machine. It chews through veggies like butter and produces a nice amount of juice compared to the Jack Lalaine juicer I was using. Super easy to disassemble and clean.
