Best Review on Juiceman JM480S Automatic Extractor Integrated

This juicer is absolutely awesome. We got it as a gift, and didn't really think we would use it very much. I've used juicers before, though never owned before. After using this juicer a few times, I noticed the ease of cleaning! Just take the lid off, pull out the strainer basket, and dump out the pulp. The strainer basket is a little smaller than that of the jack lalanne and is easier to remove (you don't have to use a special tool) ...and the smaller the basket, the less scrubbing you have to do for cleanup! I also like the fact that the pulp is inside the juicer, not shooting out the back into a bucket. Thats less messy for the counter. I also prefer the black side clips on this juicer compared to the metal bar that several competing juicers have. To me, its more convenient because its not in the was as much as the metal bar option. This juicer has 2 speeds and I love the fact that it came with citrus attachments instead of having to buy them extra. I would have never bought the attachments because I'm not big on citrus, but after using the citrus part, its even easier to clean that the traditional fruits/veggie juicer part. Another plus is (the lazy man's juicer) that if the apple fits in the juicer hole, then you don't have to core it. As long as the fruit fits, I don't have to core anything. Sometimes I do have to cut apples in half but its so much easier than other juicers. If I'm going to juice at all (which it has become a really big part of our lives) it has to be easy. If its too time consuming or hard, then there is a good chance you won't continue to do something that is good for you. Thats why I love this juicer. It makes it easy. I did read a few other reviews and I do want it known that the really leafy veggies don't produce much juice in any juicer (example: kale and spinach leaves) Cabbage and cucumber produce a lot of juice, it just has to be sweetened up a bit with some apples. The only negatives I have to say about this juicer is that if I juice about a half gallon of juice, I do have to empty the inside container of the pulp to continue juicing. I try to juice the leafy items first since they leave the most behind. On other juicers the back end bucket wouldn't make it an issue at all. The other negative (although very small) is that if you get a really juicy piece of fruit/vegetable, the juice rushes out really fast a splashes out sometimes on the counter, so I normally hold the cup a little closer to the spout. Like I said, its a very small complaint but it does exist. I definitely recommend this juicer to anyone, especially those that know it needs to be easy, or if you aren't used to putting a lot of work into a glass of juice =) This is the best juicer we could have gifted to us.

The day I received my juicer I put all the pieces except the base into the dishwasher to more or less sanitize everything. I happened to have a bag of summer apples so when it was done washing I put it back together in no time, got out the apples, turned it on and started juicing. The apples were about medium size and fit whole into the chute. When I had gone through all of the apples I had a full pitcher of juice which was tasty and clean of any pulp. I removed all of the pieces, emptied the pulp into our composting bin and simply rinsed everything off except the base which didn't need any cleaning at all. It was that quick and easy. I did use the included brush to clean the filter but that took very little effort as well.
BalasHapusThis juicer works so well I find it easy to make a quick, fresh drink when I want one. I don't think there is really any need to plan ahead. It comes with an instruction booklet with great tips. It can be used to either grind everything up or you can switch attachments to extract the juice from fruit like oranges or grapefruit and not have to remove the skin.
The only thing I think is missing is a top for the pitcher in case there is any left over you could just put the pitcher in the refrigerator.
This is a great juicer - easy to use and no mess. Soon apple harvest will be starting so I can go get some fresh apples to use with my new juicer!
My old roommate was a bigtime obsessive juicer. He had one of those $300+ juicers that tore through everything like it had a gas motor and was amazing. This juicer isn't one of those, for sure, but it's probably 90% of the way there - and for $250 less. I like that it is easy to clean out. Some juicers are a huge pain, requiring them to be almost entirely disassembled - but this one doesn't require that much work.
BalasHapusAnother great aspect is that it gets ALL the juice. There's no juice left in the pulp after it gets done with the work. That's good, since fruits and vegetables are expensive - and wasting juice is just silly. So many other juicers in this price range leave 50+% of the juice in the pulp. This one does a much better job.
I am enjoying this juicer for health reasons. Super stoked with all the beverages I have made and enjoyed for sure.
BalasHapusI love this Juicer! Fast efficient, easy to use, easy to clean! Looks nice on my counter.....everyday!!!! Really helps being healthier....easier! If you are looking for juicer that is truly awesome and in good price range, The Juiceman is the one to buy.
BalasHapusThe wife wanted a juicer for the longest time and finally I reseached them online. The Juiceman line compared well with all of the more expensive juicers out there. It seems that the key according to the reviewers is to get one that is at least 800watts. That way you don't run into a problem of over working the unit. This juicer makes easy work of everything that my wife has put through it so far. The one thing the reviewers caution about is the feeder neck being large enough. This one has a 3inch feeder neck and still my wife has found a way twice to get apple halves stuck in it. Everything works fine if you quarter the apples and any fruit that is large in diameter. Great product and best price at Amazon.
BalasHapusExcellent juice machione, isn't noise like people said, I used very often and my wife can stop using also, believe or not is a great machine
BalasHapusThanks Amazon.

BalasHapusi've only used it once and will update but so far, this machine is so much better than the "sharper image" one i just sent back. this is much easier to clean, actually it a snap, i got a lot more juice and it was less pulpy and the left overs are much drier. i did an orange, a grapfruit, an apple and 2 smaller carrots and got 3 full cups of juice!! this is a wonderful combo too, deeelicious!! i'm new to juicing and i just love trying different things. i feel so much better when i'm juicing and i love that i can get all my fruits and veggies like this. i found juicing lots of carrots keeps you from getting hungry and i love them with tomatoes and celery and then throwing some lime and lemon juice and some hot sauce.. yum yum. anyway, i digress. i'm happy with this juicer so far. i read about the breakage and i hope it doesn't happen. i'm pretty careful with my things and i cut stuff up beforehand so maybe i will be ok.. hope so. i don't think this machine was that loud either, my other was louder than this. again, i am very impressed with the easy clean up, it was a breeze, took about 1 minute, the juice was nice and fine, the motor is very powerful, the left overs weren't that wet and i'm happy so far. juice on!!!

i still love my juicer!!! and am having so much fun with it. juicing makes me feel so great, i can't believe the difference in my life. i have had no issues, this is easy and a snap to clean, is powerful and yes you can juice leaves.. i do it all the time. just wad them up in a ball. i just did spinach and got lots of juice, i made spinach, tomato, cucumber and some onion. one thing i learned today.. don't put a slice of onion in first.. i put a slice of red onion in first and the essenece came out full force in my eyes and nose.. phhhewww i was crying!! lol. wait until you have put other stuff in.
i'm very happy with my juicer, have had nothing but good times with it so far.
update 09/29/2012
stopped working, went to use it today after not using it for a month and it won't do anything. it's assembled right too, i made sure several tmes. i'm really bummed because i loved it and even though it wasn't real expensive, it wasn't cheap either and shouldn't stop working with as little use as it had. i guess i need to spend more money and get a better quality product.. too bad, i'm sad.
I bought this juiceman because my wife wanted me to juice oranges by hand and I was too lazy to. After reading some reviews online I decided to try this one out, despite mixed reviews I am glad to say I bought this. I have only used it 3 times and so far it has worked excellent. I bought one 8 pound bag of oranges for $4.00 and it juiced a large pitcher of OJ. Deciding I wanted to try some apple juice I bought a 3lb pound of apples for $4.00 and juiced 3 small apples and got a large glass of apple juice. Both the apple juice and OJ were EXCELLENT!!! This product is easy to use and easy to clean, it is slighty noisy, about as noisy as a vacuum cleaner. I would reccomend this product for the price!!!
