Best Review on Black Decker 32 Ounce Electric Citrus
I got this from Walmart for $18 - totally worth it! We have had this for a few days and used it for oranges and grapefruit so far and it works very well.
Pros:
- really squeezes out the juice well and leaves the rind totally clean. (Remember to cup your hands over it and press all around, not just press downward from the top).
- I managed to get 8 ozs of juice from 2 average sized oranges
- very easy to wash and clean the parts
- no mess. Collects all the juice right into the jug and there's no dripping.
- my six year old daughter can use it (I finish it for her to make sure all the juice is out!)
- very good value for money.
- easy to store - the cord wraps around the bottom.
- pulp control is effective. I used it on medium and there was just enough pulp in the juice to make it feel like real juice!
Cons:
- a bit noisy, but then it's a machine so I don't expect anything else.
- the juice does get squeezed out of the pulp thoroughly but the pulp collects on top of the ream. After each orange half, I had to remove the pulp before placing another orange half. Not a big deal because it only took a couple of seconds and it became part of the process.
I've used better juicers in terms of quality of the parts. That was when I was a kid and most things were better quality back then anyway. For $18, this juicer is fabulous! You spend less, get your fresh juice and if it lasts a year, I'll be happy!

I had so much trouble deciding which juicer to buy online. I spent hours researching and driving myself crazy! Finally, I saw this one in a store and thought, for the price, it couldn't hurt to give it a try! I was using a hand juicer to juice 3-6 oranges each morning and it was tiring.
BalasHapusPros:
SO inexpensive!
Ridges on the juicing cones are sharp enough to get all the juice out.
Super easy to clean.
Small enough to leave out on the counter.
Cons:
Reverse switch doesn't work well (this doesn't really matter to me, since it gets all the juice out anyway).
It's a little slower than the more expensive juicers (if you really care, pay $80 more for a faster one).
I am so happy with this purchase and I would recommend it to anyone. If you are juicing 10 pounds of citrus each day, you should consider a more powerful, more expensive juicer. For a few oranges each day, this is perfect!
(A side note about the lid... The instructions say it's intended use is to keep dust out when storing the unit. It is not made to be used when serving juice, so it does not fit without the pulp catcher in place.)
Does exactly what I expected of it. No problems at all. Lots of fruit coming on this time of year...love making fresh juice.
BalasHapusThis is just perfect! I was able to juice a huge bowl of Meyer lemons in just a few minutes with no hurting hands. This little machine is very efficient and I am delighted with its performance. It is everything it is advertised to be. I doubt that it would be effective for juicing dozens of citrus fruit on a daily basis, but it suits my needs admirably.
BalasHapusI really enjoyed this juicer. It worked well and was very easy to clean. I liked that you could control somewhat how much pulp there was in the juice. I also liked the large container to juice in.
BalasHapusIf you've recently added raw juices to your diet, you're aware that most juicers don't handle citrus fruits, meaning you'll have to make a separate purchase if you want fresh orange juice, grapefruit juice, etc. This one was priced right, so I decided to give it a try. I've had it for several months, and I use it a few times a week, and so far it's holding up great.
BalasHapusI bought one of these about 4 months ago and its still going strong. I love it and it works perfectly. If your fruit is too hard or not ripe enough it may impede the process so you just need to roll your fruit on the counter 3 or 4 times while putting a little pressure from the palm of your hand to loosen up the juices in the fruit then it works like a charm. Obviously you are not supposed to put all your muscle into it when pressing down on the juicer or the pressure will cause it to pause or break sooner than desired. It's a $20 plastic juicer for goodness sake so you can't treat it like a piece of heavy machinery. I am VERY glad I bought this one and will buy another one when this ones goes out. Worth every penny!

I got this for my husband for Christmas because he loves fresh squeezed juice. We are loving it so much and going through about 30 pounds of oranges a week, it's really easy to use.
