Read First Before Buy Kuvings Silent Juicer Upright Masticating

I received my Kuvings Silent Juicer (KSJ) on May 10th from abt.com and have been using it everyday since then. I am a seasoned juicer and before I made juice 2-3 times a day with my Omega 8004 which is also a slow speed masticating juicer and I have tried a friend's Omega VRT330 which is a competing re-badged, over-marketed juicer from the factory that also makes the Hurom Juicer. Its great that similar technology to the commercial juice presses are finally available in your home (commercial juice press operate as slow as 1 RPM, these work at about 80RPM - both A LOT slower than tradition home centrifugal juicers at over 10K RPM resulting in a better juice that doesn't quickly settle separated from being spun at high-speed). My only focus is making juice and the KSJ is the best fit for my needs.
The horizontal type, like my 8004, is better for greens, a little easier to clean as it has less parts/surface area, and can make pasta, purees, nut butter etc but its significant slower than my KSJ due to the smaller feed chute, auger, etc. If you want to make lots of juice, juice mixtures, or like to juice fruit the KSJ is certainly worth the extra money over a horizontal type and a no-brainer over the older, more expensive Hurom/Omega design. I was using my horizontal machine 2-3 times/day for mixed juices - with the Silent Juicer I can make the same amount in one juicing but a strainer is required unlike the horizontal machine which doesn't have enough pulp to make a difference to warrant a strainer. Some people think both horizontal and vertical machines need to be strained and my 8004 actually came with a strainer for the juice catch cup - you'll have to make the personal preference call but I favor strained juice with vertical auger juicers - its worth the extra step for the results!
As I said before, I've used the competing Omega 330 and in the real/non-marketed world these competing vertical masticating juicers all perform about the same - there is no significant difference in performance in regards to yield, pulp in the juice, or clean up time. The KSJ is better designed - larger in-house built motor [smaller motors burn out more often especially in frequent use], larger auger, larger pulp port that doesn't clog as fast if you are juicing stringy produce(tip: cut produce fibers in smaller pieces if this is a problem for you), various extra safety features, membrane covered power switch, Tritan BPA-free components(juicing bowl/pulp cup/juice cup), and it cost $60 less than the Omega VRT330HD! You can't go wrong with either an Omega or a Kuvings vertical auger juicer but its important to note these advantages since juicing performance is virtually same. For beginners you'll also be happy with the better documentation and free recipe book - I did not use either much as I am pretty familiar with juicers.

Great Masticating Juicer! I've used Kuvings Juicer for the last couple months, and the experiences we've had with juicer is excellent. This juicer simply can press down any vegetables and fruits to make fresh juices out of it while keeping all the enzymes and nutrients unlike centrifual juicers.
BalasHapusIt is also very easy to clean and safe for my kids to use it!
Another cool part of Kuvings is that their customer service is wonderful. Whenever I have any questions about this juicer, they're always kind to answer my questions! I highly recommend Kuvings Silent Juicer, and it's worth of every penny.

Brought my Kuvings Juicer 6 months ago and use it everyday to juice wheatgrass and other leafy type vegetables. Also add a whole lime (without skin) to the juicer to give my daily health drink a perfect taste. Highly recommend the Kuvings.
BalasHapusI was given one of these from the kind folks at nuwavenow dot com. This has turned out to be, by far, the best juicer maker I've ever owned!
BalasHapusI use it every single day to make carrot,, apple, kiwi, and/or orange juice.
Thank you Hearthware
I started using the Kuving juicer two weeks ago. It works very well, is easy to use and easy to clean. I have also noticed my energy levels rising after drinking juice for this time period -- one large glass a day. This juicer met all my expectations. Since it crushes rather than slicing and dicing, I felt I was getting all the juice possibly in the extraction. I also contacted the company because of a juice cup with a flaw in it. I got a response within an hour and they sent me a new juice cup right away. Really good customer service.
BalasHapusActually I needed an masticating juicer for wheatgrass. After I did a lot of research, I realized this vertical masticating juicer is good for both fruits and leafy-greens. Actually a horizontal type is better than a vertical type if you juice only wheatgrass. However, a vertical has many better points if you wanna juice fruits as well as wheatgrass so I decided to buy this juicer. I am so happy with this purchase. Great for grape juice too! Love it..
BalasHapusBuy Kuvings Whole Slow Juicers B6000, B6000S, B6000PR, B6000W that uses low speed to press and extract juice without destroying important vitamins and nutrients as the cold press helps to keep the enzymes intact and alive.
