Best Review on Green Star Complete Extractor GS 2000

This is my favorite juicer to date. I use it solely for wheatgrass - about 5 oz per day at one time. It is not tiring on the arm and I prefer it to the electric kind that pollutes the juice and the environment with the noice and vibrations.
This is the newest model by Hurricane. Their previous juicer has great reviews, but this model is a step foward and nearly perfect. It is by far the best maunual juicer available.
The clean up takes about 1 minute. Just unscrew the end cap; pull off the handle; pull out the gear; and rinse the cap, gear, and body under the sink. Simple with no mess.
Plus the pulp is very dry - meaning you get nearly 100% of the juice from the grass!
The best part is the price. You can't go wrong. This is the dedicated wheatgrass juicer to have!
P.S. Just make sure that you have adequate depth to your counter top to clamp the juicer on...
I purchased an earlier version of this juice extractor 10 years ago. It still works good as new. A great and well made product!
BalasHapusThis product is very efficient, quiet, and effective. It does need cleaning out often during use, but is better and easier to clean than most. Superior prodect.
BalasHapusI love this Green Star Complete Juice Extractor GS-2000 Tribest because it will juice every thing that you want to juice.
BalasHapusI've been using this juicer for 10 months, about 4 times a week. I love it. It's quiet. You can carry on a normal conversation while the machine is running. Juices slowly at a cool temperature. Makes minimal foam. Squeezes the pulp dry. You don't waste so much as with the non-gear driven kind. You don't need another machine to do different stuff. E.g., it handles fresh ginger as easily as carrots. Yes, it has several parts to disassemble to clean, but it's very easy to do - 10-15 min - and re-assembly is idiot-proof. I'm very happy with the Green Star.
BalasHapusI bought the Green Star after using cheaper centifugal juicers and doing a lot of research. I was beginning to grow my own wheatgrass, so I had to get a juicer that could handle it.
BalasHapusI love how quickly and easily this machine juices everything, while maintaining low temperatures. At first I thought it was a pain to clean, but after a couple of times, it didn't seem tedious or difficult at all. Just rinse the parts and go! I highly recommend this if you're planning to be a heavy juice drinker. If you're just starting out, try a less expensive machine to be sure it's not just a fad, or you will have wasted a lot of money. But if you're sure you'll be juicing daily, this is the machine for you!
I love this machine. I use in quite often to make a variety of juice drinks. Yes it is a bit of a chore to clean, but if you do it right away and get into a rountine in only takes about 10 minutes to get it done. I love that it doesn't heat the juice so that the enzymes are still alive. I also got a pump n seal so that I can put the juice in mason jars and vacuum pack them so it last longer. I juice a big batch of "green lemonade" (see Natalia Rose THe Raw Food Detox Diet) about twice a week and make other drinks when desired. I am looking forward to making nut butters as well. I have also used the pulp in some other recipes and the remainder goes in my compost pile (boy does it break down fast as pulp!) Enjoy!
BalasHapusAfter 14 years of juicing a plastic part on one of the gears broke. Was able to purchase another set of gears for about $100. On the new gear the plastic part was replaced by a solid stainless steel gear part. The old Green Star (life) machine is once again juicing as well as before. I juice cucumber, bell pepper, carrot and dark leafy green. While this is not the ideal for each of these vegetables, it can juice all of these vegetables with a little bit of care. The cleanup and assembly is easy enough. So - 14 years before the first problem and will handle everything I want to juice. Good enough for a 5 star.
BalasHapusI bought this juicer about 10 years ago and although it unfortunately sat in the attic for many of those years it has seen quite a lot of use and performed great! I have since revived my love of the juicer and can't believe I let it sit for so long in the attic. I have tried wheatgrass, and a variety of fruit and veggie juices and they've all come out great, even my husband loves them!
BalasHapusIt is a bit of a chore to clean the screens, but as another reviewer said, it's well worth it! It's definitely a heavy and large piece of equipment so be prepared to either have a place on your counter to house it, or an easy place to store it that wont make you reach too high to get it.
This thing is made to last so prepare for years of happy juicing!
