Read First Before Buy Remanufactured Breville XXBJE510XL Variable Speed Extractor

What can I say, after reading multiple reviews of just about every juicer that Amazon sells; well 275$ was as high as I would go so I stopped looking after I hit that price. Almost every negative review on other manufacturers models always said something to the effect, I should have bought a Breville.
I'm not big on buying refurbished/remanufactured items, but the re-manufactured BJE510XL IKon I could not pass up. I would have spent the money on a new one, but the refurbished priced at 101$ when I bought it was too good to pass up. The unit arrived in like new condition; the bulk of the unit is solid metal and not a scratch on it - in fact anything metal was flawless. The plastic "lid" that seals while juicing has a few minor marks on it, but only if you look at in the right light and at an angle -- my guess, the plastic had one or two runs through a dishwasher.
Besides for the plastic containment dome and pulp receptacle the unit is all metal and solid as a rock. The metal base really makes you think you have something of quality. I didn't know anything, including cars, were made out of metal anymore.
Power is exceedingly more than adequate, a quick read through the instructions is advised. The juicing has expelled pulp that looks and feel completely dry, while on the other side you get plenty of juice, even in what I consider wet fruits or vegetables which usually you get at best 30% juice and the rest is some very wet (and lost) juice in the pulp receptacle. Follow the instructions and you'll get most of the juice out either the wettest or driest of fruits and veggies.
You cannot really find a better deal, IMHO - had Amazon not had refurbished, I would have bought a brand new one - worth every penny. But if you can pick up a refurb (you can always return it), I would give it a try.
Unless Breville loses quality control, they have a permanent customer - although as far as the juicer is concerned, I doubt that will be replaced soon. But they do make awesome espresso machines also.
Check out the manual, at the end they have some really good recipes, including recipes to use the leftover pulp in cakes, soup among many other things. Trust me, the pulp put in banana or zucchini bread gives you such a moist, yet good for you, you'll never throw out the pulp again. For people with kids, put some of the pulp in cookies -- kids will never know, and probably want more more more.
Just one guys opinion.
I've been using my Breville for a couple of weeks and am completely happy with it. The price was amazing and I can't tell that the product was 'remanufactured'. Works very well and the clean up so far has just been rinsing the parts with hot water and a little scrub with a brush. Eventually I'll put it in the dishwasher, but haven't needed to yet. I'd been wanting to try one of these for years but kept putting it off. Wish I had gotten it much sooner.
BalasHapusLots of power and easy clean up, a great juicer, got this refurb and its like a new one and very happy with price and its quality.

I'm not sure exactly what makes this a 'remanufactured' product but it looks and acts like new. I am very happy with it and enjoy the juice it makes. Although I do have to agree with other reviewers regarding it's inefficiency in juicing greens.
BalasHapusThan you so much for your shipment. This product is helping me with my current project. I will keep you in my file.
BalasHapusMy son requested a juicer for a birthday gift. He did the research and came up with this Breville model. I liked the price but was hesitant to purchase a remanufactured one. After reading other reviews, I decided to go ahead with his choice - good move! Noise seemed to be an issue with other models as well as actual juice extraction. Neither is an issue here! It's quiet and the pulp is relatively dry. You would never know that it was not brand new. Good choice my son, good choice!
BalasHapusMy husband and I juice between 4 days a week at our most and 1 every other week at our fewest times. I love this juicer because I do not need to chomp the vegetables or fruits into small pieces as I do for the HealthyJuicer that we also have, yet the juicer handles everything wonderfully and is easy to clean by using the brush that came with the juicer.
BalasHapusI got this machine 1 month back. I love it,it makes perfect juice. This is first time I am using any juice extractor so I do not know about others, but for me so far it is doing my job and keeping me healthy.
