Dash JB001CM Juicer

This juicer is really great! It juices veggies and fruits well. I am on a juice feast and so far have had this juicer for two weeks with no problems. It's quick and not as loud as I thought i would be. The clean up is simple, and if you put a plastic bag inside, it's even easier. The only thing I don't like is the way it juices berries. You get lots of pulp but i'm assuming that's how it is with all centrifugal juicers. With everything else, you get loads of juice and there is a foam divider to keep most of the foam from getting into your juice when you pour. I use this juicer daily, twice a day and at most three times. It hasn't failed me yet! :) Oh, there's also a bit of staining on the plastic, but if you're like me and you want this juicer to do a job, it does it and well! Types of things I juice: apples, cantaloupe with the skin still on, oranges, celery, kale..etc. Just to give you an idea of what this baby can do.

  1. I've had my juicer for a little over a week and I absolutely love it! I did quite a bit of research before I decided to give the DASH Juicer a try. I was contemplating on the Hamilton Beach brand, but decided to spend more to get a quality juicer in my price range. I am sooo glad that I did! Clean up is a snap and I couldn't believe how easy it is to put together. I place a plastic bag in the discard container and clean up right afterwards before the food gets hard; this prevents cleanup from being a daunting task. Thanks to the DASH Juicer, juicing has become a part of my everyday health regimen!

  2. We got the Dash juicer on 26th Jan, so its been about a month. We have been using it twice a day, every day since then. Its super easy to clean and to put pack together. The tougher the vegetable (carrots, beets) , the better it seems to work. Bigger chunks of vegetables work very well as well. I have not had good luck with small fruits like blue berries and strawberries which land in the bin without getting juiced much. Also its works much better with fully thawed stuff.

My morning juicing session starting from assembly (there are 4 parts to put together) to cleaning and putting away the parts takes 15 minutes tops. This also includes some prep time for fruits and vegetables.

It also looks great sitting on the counter top.

This is not specific to the juicer, but our grocery bill went up by about $20/week for juicing.

Negatives: Lost the lid on the collector jug (not a big deal for me) and cleaner brush keeps loosing bristles.

  3. My old blender conked out and started smeeling like burning plastic after 5 months. I just bought this one for $100 at Macy's and it works amazingly. It's easy to use and so far I had had nothing but good things to say about it.

  4. After using this juicer just once, I tossed out my L'Equip Mini Juicer. The Dash is twice as powerful, makes pulp-free juice, and extracts 20% more juice from carrots - ALL FOR THE SAME PRICE. Oh, and the juice tastes MUCH BETTER. It is very similar in design to the Breville JE98XL. The Breville is 850 watts, the Dash 800.

  5. I bought my juicer so I can start eating the proper amount of vegetables. I put kale, lemon (with rind on), apple (with peel on), chard and cucumber (peeled) and it totally liquifies them. It is a great juicer, it is easy to clean it with warm water (I only wash the parts with soap and water once a week). It is really nice because the juicer comes with a little brush to wash the blade thoroughly. I love it!

  6. Picked this up from Target yesterday and took it out for its maiden voyage. There are a bunch of things I like after using it.

    - The collection bucket is larger than most on the market which is super handy
    - The odd black piece of hose that connects the juicer to the pitcher prevents dripping
    - Suction cups on the bottom keep it in place
    - The pitcher has a divider in it (although you cant tell in the picture)to keep the foam and the juice separate. This is awesome!!
    - The metal handle that locks the plunger assembly in place doubles as a handle making it easy to move for storage.
    - It has a wide mouth, good for beets, and apple.
    - The plunger fits snugly, so no food gets stuck between the plunger and the wall.
    - For me speed options is a must. Low for citrus, celery; High for apple, beets.

I like to make juice by the batch, so the pitcher it came with is a little small. Other than that the juice was great, as is the juicer.

  7. I am new to juicing and did my homework on the Breville, Cuisinart, Jack Lalanne and a few others. I found that the Dash Juicer has all of the same features as the Breville. I bought a present for myself yesterday at Macy's when I saw it on sale for under $50.00! I had my heart set on the Breville but they were sold out so for 75% less money than the Breville cost on sale, I got the Dash Juicer instead. I have used it once yesterday and once today with optimal results. The only thing that I didnt like was there was a lot of foam and the pulp was a bit moist but I did put oranges in the mix. I do put a plastic bag in the pulp collector for easy clean up-and it is super easy to clean up. It even comes with a little brush to clean off the mesh filter. I will repost after using this for 3 months. So far, so good!

  8. I have become a vegetarian and tried to change my diet in a healthier way by drinking a fresh squeezed vegetable juice every day. I have been doing a research online, and there seemed to be many juicers outhere such as omega and breville for awesome machines, but very pricey. During this black friday, I went to Macy's and instantly looked for a juicer. I got this DASH juicer for about $80 so decided to buy it and try it. For its price, I have no complaints about this juicer. it's so easy to clean, and for the filter, all you have to do is use a brush they give you to clean it. it's fast, powerful and not as loud as some people say. I would definitely recommend this product to my friends and family. If you're looking for a good juicer for its reasonable price, try this brand!
