Read First Before Buy KitchenAid KFP670 Professional Processor Black

I spent several weeks researching all the different brands and models, read all the reviews I could get my hands on, and am happy I went with the KFP670! I received mine in 2 days! Thank you Amazon.
As soon as I opened the box, I was impressed with the obvious quality..it's beautiful. I do agree with the other reviewer that mentioned you are going to want to buy the larger disc pack to go along with it, adding another $100. I've used all the accessories that came with it and have been impressed with everything. The juicer works quickly and efficiently, the discs and blades work wonderfully, making cooking easier and more enjoyable than ever. I can't believe I went this long without! Now all I need is the Kitchenaid stand mixer and I'll feel my kitchen is complete.
Amazon had the best price,..., and the free shipping...and of course, no taxes...this is definately where I'll buy the mixer. It really is a must have for even those who don't enjoy cooking, it makes the most mundane chores quick and effortless...and the clean-up takes seconds!

BalasHapusAbsolutely PHENOMENAL!! This is the best thing I think I've ever bought. As an avid cook, I wanted help chopping, mincing, and grinding; but was not sure I would find this handy enough for daily use. After careful research, I settled on this luxury machine, and have not looked back since. I can't believe I didn't get it sooner. Here are the top reasons to buy it if you have the counter space and cook alot:1. Overall quality combined with powerful, yet extremely quiet motor. Slicing and shredding is precise and so efficient. I made ratatouille for Christmas, and it took under one minute to slice zucchinis, eggplants, bell peppers, and onions for ten people. The machine is so powerful that you will rarely use the "on" button. Almost everything can be processed with a maximum of 5 "pulses." Grinding meat is a pleasure too. I now grind my own beef and pork, making alot of dishes lighter tasting.2. Easy to use once you get the hang of it. Being new to food processing, even I was able to fully utilize the processor quickly. The construction is so logical, and the manual explains everything. I leave mine on the counter, and use it daily. It helps that the machine is sleek and beautiful. You won't mind looking at it.3. Really safe- the motor does not turn on unless everything is aligned the right way. 4. Two-sized feed tube- this feature is what prompted me to get the 670 specifically. The other 11-cup Kitchenaid has only one size feed tube. This has a 3 inch opening and a 1.5 inch opening. If you do any amount of stir-frying, you will be grateful for this feature because it feeds virtually any amount and configuration of vegetables onto the disc to ensure precise cutting. 5. Three bowls- 11 cup, 9 cup, and 3 cup really helps when you need it- during big dinners when you don't have time to clean up between jobs. The 3 cup bowl is really useful for making all kinds of marinades involving herbs and spices.6. Excellent customer service. I called with a question about usage, and the Kitchenaid people really are helpful and have a great attitude.7. Minimal liquid spillage. Although food processors tend to leak when the mixture contains too much liquid, this one contains most everything I've thrown at it. 8. Easy to clean. There are no crevices for the food to get stuck in. It takes one drop of detergent, and a little whirling of water to get the bowls spic and span. The only con for me is that I like it so much I will have to buy all the other accessories that go with the machine. I found even the thickest slicing disc too thin for cutting vegetables salad-size, so plan to buy the 5-piece set if you buy the processor.
BalasHapusMy Kitchenaid and I have only been friends for the past two weeks. During that time, we have chopped, blended, pulsed and laughed together. I've never had a better friend, except perhaps for Food Processor's cousin, Stan D. Mixer. :o)
BalasHapusOkay, perhaps I'm being a bit silly, but my report is the same as the majority of others. This is a wonderful machine for the home-cooking enthusiast who does NOT want to make huge batches of anything. At an 11-cup capacity, it will be more than adequate for most chores of the home cook. For those who complained about the capacity being inadequate, a wee bit of pre-planning could have avoided disappointment! Always know what you plan to do with an appliance before plunking down a lot of money.
In addition to a strong machine that works extremely well, it comes with a significant number of recipes. I made the stuffed mushrooms appetizer and they were one of the highlights of our Thanksgiving dinner. It also comes with an impressive number of attachments. Best of all, the blades are manufactured by Sabatier... the cream of the crop.
Also, don't be overly afraid to buy refurbished. I purchased this processor for a fraction of the "new" price (also through Amazon) and it was in near-perfect condition. The storage box came with a chunk of plastic missing, and rather than returning the whole shipment to Amazon, I called Kitchenaid. They are sending me a new one. Quality is always important when purchasing an item, but so is the company behind it.
Finally, this is apparently one of the last- if not the last, model that was made in France. The new breed of Kitchenaid food processors are being made in China, which is why they have lowered the prices on the newest models, even though they have larger bowl capacities and more powerful motors to handle the extra capacity. That information came to me directly from Kitchenaid. Thanks, but I'll take the tried and true French model!
Good luck in your food processor decision. You can feel confident in knowing that this model is a winner.
After spending years with a run of the mill machine I took the plunge and moved UP to "the top of the line", or so I thought. The 'BIG C' did nothing for me but make me cranky, combative and cross! Then I ran onto an advert for a professional KitchenAid processor that was supposed to do everything the 'big guy' could do and more. I donated frenchie to the local food bank, bought the KA and never looked back. If I had to, I would give up every other appliance in my kitchen to keep the KPF670! Every bride should receive this machine and go on to kitchen bliss!
BalasHapusAfter looking at all the food processors I felt that while this model cost more than the others, it's more cost effective because of all the accessories that are included. The juicer works great and can take a grapefruit down in a couple of seconds. It has an egg whipper which is great for whipping egg whites into a fluffy consistancy. It includes a container for storing the blades. My wife absolutely loves this piece of kitchen equipment and she has it sitting proudly next to her Kitchen Aid blender and Kitchen Aid coffee maker. I can't recommend this product highly enough you won't be sorry you spent the little extra money for it.
BalasHapusBeing in the market for a food processor I naturally purchased the Cuisinart model at a local store. I was led to believe that Cuisinart was unbeatable as a food processor. Wrong! I returned the Cuisinart after one day and resumed my search. After reading the reviews of the KitchenAid KFP 670 on Amazon I decided to, once again, take a chance. This was a great decision! This is a kitchen appliance that, in my opinion, not only lives up to its reputation but exceeds it. The food processor has performed flawlessly in every application I have tried with it. Having had the opportunity to operate both the Cuisinart and the KitchenAid I feel there's no comparison. The KitchenAid is a superior product with the Cuisinart food processor having only one small advantage, that of a longer warranty. While a longer warranty would've been nice, the quality and sturdiness of the KitchenAid will, I think, in most cases make a longer term warranty unnecessary. It was an excellent choice!

Somebody Pinch Me!, December 30, 2003

BalasHapusThis is the first food processor I've owned, so I wasn't sure what to expect when I got it. I thought it would be helpful, but I didn't quite realize how helpful. The three bowls included really make this machine convenient. I LOVE the mini-bowl. I use this nearly every day to chop garlic, hot peppers, or herbs. The middle bowl is great for slicing/shredding--the only drawback is that you can only use the slicing/shredding tools. In other words, you can't use the all-purpose blade in the middle bowl; you can only use the it in the "main" bowl. But that's easy to work around. I just use the middle bowl for slicing and whatnot, and then I just take it out and continue on to the main bowl to use the all-purpose blade. Of course, this usually means that I have three bowls and a variety of blades to wash after I'm done, but they are dishwasher safe. (Usually, though, I wash the bowls by hand and only put the blades in the dishwasher.)Other things about the machine and accessories--the base is really heavy, so it doesn't hop around the counter. However, I've used the dough blade once, and the dough I was mixing up was pretty stiff, so I did have to steady the processor in place, but it wasn't a big effort. I've not used the juicer attachment or the egg white whipping attachment, so I can't attest to their various qualities. I really like the storage box for the blades. It's a bit bulky, true, but I just stick it on top of the fridge where it's out of the way. It's nice to not have the blades rattling around in my kitchen drawers. Finally, again I'd just like to say how great this machine is. I don't have a standard of comparison, but I am completely satisfied with this machine. I use lots of fresh veggies in my cooking, so this has cut my prep time down dramatically. I'd definitely recommend this product to anyone in the market for a good, reliable food processor.
